Third Graders Visit Their “Grandfriends” at Atria

Our third graders recently enjoyed a visit to the Atria, where they spent special time with their “grandfriends.” The morning was filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful connection across generations.

Students proudly shared songs they have been practicing and partnered with residents to read picture books and play games together. The room was filled with joyful conversation as stories were shared and friendships continued to grow.

To make the visit even more special, students presented their “grandfriends” with a 3D-printed phone stand that they designed and created themselves. This thoughtful gift combined creativity, technology, and kindness — and was received with great appreciation.

Students represented Baker with kindness and care, highlighting the power of connection and community across generations.
