Closing of School

In the event of a school closing due to inclement weather, an official school district notice will be initiated through the District's mass communication system (ParentLink). This notification will be delivered to the telephone number and/or email address that you provided to the District. Please ensure that your contact information is up to date and accurate.

Please note that our six-day cycle is fixed. Refer to the interactive school calendar on the Baker homepage for cycle days.

 

Two-Hour Delayed Opening

In the event of a two-hour delayed opening due to inclement weather, the official school start time will be 11:10 AM.

Students who ride a school bus should report to their bus stop two hours later than their usual pick up time.

Students who do not ride the school bus on these days will not be permitted to enter the building before 11:00 AM.

 

Notifications will go out the evening prior, or the morning of the school closure or delay. We recommend that you frequently check the GNPS District homepage for updates as well as local media outlets.
